"Focus Media Holding Limited (Focus Media), incorporated on April 11, 2003, operates out-of-home advertising network in the People's Republic of China using audiovisual television displays, based on the number of locations and number of flat-panel television displays in its network. Focus Media's out-of-home advertising network consists of commercial location network, in-store network, poster frame network, mobile handset advertising network, outdoor light emitting diode (LED) network and movie theater network. A majority of the content displayed on the Company's commercial location and in-store networks consists of advertisements, which are broadcast repeatedly approximately 60 times per day in twelve minute cycles. Advertisements on its outdoor LED network are broadcast repeatedly using a six-minute cycle. Advertisements on the mobile handset advertising network are wireless application protocol (WAP)-based advertisements that are sent to mobile handset users over China Mobile Communications Corporation (China Mobile) and China United Telecommunications Corporation (China Unicom) networks."
