Company Profile
"CRH plc engages in the manufacture and distribution of building materials in Europe and Americas. Its products include cement, aggregates, asphalt, readymixed concrete, agricultural and chemical lime, and concrete products. The company also offers concrete paving and landscaping- precast concrete products- clay bricks, pavers, rooftiles, and blocks- insulation products- fencing and security- daylight and ventilation- and construction accessories. In addition, it markets and sells builders' supplies to the construction industry, and materials and products for the do-it-yourself (DIY) market through its stores. Further, the company provides concrete masonry, patio products, pavers, and rooftiles- prepackaged concrete mixes- glass fabrication- aluminium glazing systems- welded wire reinforcement- fencing products- roofing-siding- and interior products. As of December 31, 2007, it operated 240 DIY stores and 648 builders merchants stores. CRH plc was founded in 1949 and is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland."
