It develops technologies for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, cancer, immunological disorders, neurogenic orthostatic hypotension, and other autonomic disorders. The company's platform technologies include an antifolate product candidate CH-1504, an orally available molecule that inhibits various key enzymes, which are required for cell proliferation- and I-3D, a portfolio of dihydroorotate dehydrogenase inhibiting compounds in a strategic partnership with Active Biotech AB. It is also developing droxidopa, an orally active synthetic precursor of norepinephrine for the treatment of neurogenic orthostatic hypotension. The company was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina."
