"Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production, sale, and research of alumina and primary aluminum in the People's Republic of China. It operates in two segments, Alumina and Primary Aluminum. The Alumina segment involves in the mining and purchase of bauxite and other raw materials, the refining of bauxite into alumina, and the sale of alumina. It also produces and sells chemical alumina, which include alumina hydrate and alumina chemicals, and gallium. The Primary Aluminum segment engages in procuring alumina and other raw materials, supplemental materials, and electricity power smelting alumina to produce primary aluminum: the sale of primary aluminum products: and the production and sale of carbon products and aluminum-fabricated products. Aluminum Corporation also involves in the provision of technical consulting services, and repair and maintenance services for electrical plant and machinery: manufacture and distribution of ceramic products and electronic products: alumina import and export operations: trading of colored metallurgy materials and bauxite: and production and distribution of coal related products. It has joint venture agreement with MMC International Holdings Limited, Saudi Binladin Group, and Aluminum Corp. of China, Ltd. to develop, own, and operate an aluminum smelter in Jazan Economic City. The company was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Beijing, the People's Republic of China. Aluminum Corporation of China Limited is a subsidiary of Aluminum Corporation of China."
